Hey all, I just got back from Word Camp Phoenix, and I got something really cool that I wanted to share with you immediately. Merlin Mann, onne of the speakers gave this truly awesome quote that I think sums up the future of social media in a few short sentences.

Hey Teresa here, I know that it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I have an announcement to make.
First of all, I am going to be changing things up a bit. After a lot of thought, I have decided to shift the focus of this blog.
Has anyone noticed how social media is impacting the political land scape? Now I realize that this subject is going off the beaten path, but, I think that there is a lesson to be learned, and application to be made.
Ok, I have a few suggestions on what to do when your mobile phone isn’t all that compatible with the social media space. By that I mean, if you don’t have a PDA, and you really don’t know how to do the whole mobile web surfing thing.
I feel a need to write on the power of social media.(S.M.) See, I didn’t know how impactful it truly was. For example, Mike did a search on my name in Google, and I came up in six different places. Now don’t get me wrong, I am extremely glad, but it still floors me! I mean, you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, and a few other places, and yes I do my best to use S.M. effectively, but I still find myself lacking in many areas.
So, this is my first official post to the blog, and the question is honestly what should I say? Perhaps the best thing to do is to leave you with this thought to chew on.
