Is your Business Suffering from a Lack of Knowledge?

I need to write this post. It is not a post on business growth, marketing copy writing or social media This post goes a lot deeper.
You see, there is something terribly wrong with our country, and with the way we handle money. If you just look at the fact that we are over twelve trillion dollars in debt, and we are digging the hole deeper every day, by the spending binge that has infected Washington, I think it is clear that we have a problem.
But where and how did it start?

In Hosea 4:6 the Bible says, my people are destroyed from a lack of knowledge. Now, you can take that verse, and apply it to many areas, but I believe that one of the many reasons that we are in this situation is because of a lack of financial education in America today We have forgotten the basic principles of money. We do not know the difference between good debt and bad debt, and this has become progressively worse from generation to generation.

Even worse, this lack of knowledge has done a number on the private sector. You see as a small business owner, if you do not know something, you can’t take steps to correct it. For what good does it do you to grow your company in an effort to make a decent profit, if you are losing more money than you are making to debt inflation and
taxes?

So, I want to weigh in, and help where I can. You see, I have been researching this topic very heavily, and I am almost ready to bring you my findings. Now don’t get me wrong, I will continue to write about business growth, marketing, and all the other things that you have come to know this blog for, but I believe that a well rounded business owner must have a high financial IQ in addition to a high business IQ to have any chance of making it in this recession. Make no mistake; things will get worse before they get better. It is only the financially literate who will thrive in this market; not just survive.
To your Financial Success,
