Put Shoe Leather to Your Learning

By Teresa on 4

So, this is my first official post to the blog, and the question is honestly what should I say? Perhaps the best thing to do is to leave you with this thought to chew on. We’re not training to be consumers; we’re training to be producers: meaning that there is only one thing that is truly different between those who are successful and those who are not. It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about your walk with the Lord, the running of your business, your work on the job, or even your relationships. In fact, take any area you want, and this same principle applies.

So what am I going on about, well, in one word; action. Yes, that’s right, action. The Bible puts it this way, “Be a doer of the word, and not just a hearer only“

Now I understand that some of you may not subscribe to the Biblical viewpoint, and that’s OK, I’m not here to preach at you. It’s just that whether you are an internet marketer like myself, or you like to read a lot of stuff in order to gain knowledge, there has to come a point when you say ok, I have what I need to break past that threshold and put shoe leather to what I have learned.

Now don’t get me wrong, I struggle in this area just like any other person, but by his grace I will make it through.

So with that I will say good night, and be on the lookout for more from me in the not so distant future.

God bless,
Teresa Blaes

    Hi Teresa,
My husband is planning a big Creation event at our church in November. How would we get social networking and Facebook working for us? Russ Humphreys and Kevin Anderson are speaking. It will be on November 13th and 14th. I’ve got to go. We have a benefit concert today for an interfaith ministry that helps the elderly in Tudson. Talk to you soon.
    Debbie

I’d start by following these guide lines, when on facebook, be a person not
a business or a ministry. Use your profile to connect with people, share
photos, excrta. Next I would create a face book page. Please note that a
page is not a profile. A page will do two things, it will alert Google about
your event, and it will give you credibility.

Then, I would start a facebook group about your event, and ask anyone who is
involved with your event to fan the page, and join your group why, because
when people do this, that action shows in there friends news feed

Next, I would create a twitter profile, and start the process of following
targeted indavuals for example, you want someone local. Remember, your goal
is to be real, transparent. Once you have built up around a few hundred
followers, then I would start this next faze in two parts

I would use search.twitter.com to first find people interested in evolution,
then I would find people interested in creation. Other searches that you can
do are the names of the speakers If someone is a fan of the speaker, and
they are local, you could let them know about your event.

Here are a few other things that you can do when ready.

Start blogging about the event, and take the rss feed of that blog, and link
it to your face book pages, and group

Look for other blogs that you can comment on around ministry, creation
evolution creation. When commenting, be sure to add value so that the person
reading and or moderating doesn’t see it as spam. Again, it goes back to be
    a real person.

You could also create a video and send it to utoob and other video sharing
    sites.

And finally, you could write a press release and send it to the free press
release sites a Google search should bring you lots of them
I hope this helps, let me know if I can help further
